{ Baby Mia... }

This is Mimi, and her little girl Mia. For those of you who do not know mimi, she was my primary teacher when i was ten (i'm pretty sure i was ten, anyway...)I loved her so much! She was so kind and sweet. She get's along with everyone. You will see on my toolbar I have links to baby mia's website and mimi's family blog. You can read mia's story on either one. To make a long story short, mia needs a new heart in order for her to basically live a normal life. Mia turned 4 months old on Sat. which is actually a huge milestone considering she is a heart patient. Well...tonight the long-awaited news came that mia is GETTING A NEW HEART!! within a matter of a half an hour from the e-mail there were people calling OUR HOUSE! imagine how many people are calling mimi! The heart is being transported as we speak and they said that mia will be in the O.R. around 6:00AM. Please keep baby Mia in your prayers that everything will go well with her surgery, and with the family. Here is a post from mimi's blog.

We got THE CALL a few hours ago.... my heart has been racing ever since!!! I feel like I just won the lottery- only this is a million times better than that!! They are busily drawing blood, doing X-rays.... AAAAhhhhhhh!! I will explain more later.

She will be getting a heart from another blood type- this is pretty much all I know... and that she will be in the OR around 6:00 am.

Please pray for my girlie- and please pray for the wonderful family who has made such a selfless decision.Someone will be giving updates as the morning progresses- I love you all!!

Oh, I just got off the phone with my husband. He was in a car accident. GEEZ louise!!! He is fine, but I need him here NOW!
