This week has been busy, stressful, and just plain...well, just NOT a good week. Christmas time is kind of a stressful time! From the Christmas presents, to the parties...could go on and on. I have really had to step back tonight and think about what really matters.

On Sunday, my friend Morgan was admitted to the hospital for a emergency operation. A couple months earlier she had a scedualed operation for her ahernia (sp.) Complicated to explain...but in a nutshell, she needed to have a emergency operation RIGHT AWAY! Sunday morning, my mom told me what was going on. I was SHOCKED! I was nervous for morgan and hoped that everything would turn out ok. Tonight, I went to go visit her in the hospital. She was having a Good day today, so she was talking and laughing a little :D Childrens hospital was SOooo nice. If I ever had surgery i'd want to be THERE! Colorful walls, art rooms! (I think there's an art room, correct me if i'm wrong.) I would be in HEAVEN if I could sit in an art room all day! Morgan is doing a LOT better by the way today looked...so she might be coming home SOON!yeaaaaah! fight, fight, fight MO!
It always seems to be that around the holidays when something bad or stressful happens. Ahhhhh...can't wait to be DONE with school and RELAXING! Speaking of relaxing, there might be a chance this weekend. The weather report is calling for snow this Sat. and all weekend. It dosen't surprise me, IT'S FREEZING! brrrr. On mon. and tues. they say it's going to be a chilly 17 degrees! 17!!! Yikes. talk about Global Warming! huh. Winter has always been an exciting time of year though. The smells, warmth, clothes. love it all! Christmas isn't all about the gifts. The T.V. and ads totally overate this stuff! Starting to get sick of all the materialistic things floating around..."what do you want for christmas?" "do you know what you want for christmas?" What about the question, "what do you LOVE about christmas?" "is family with you?" Christmases ahead will be hard...especially when I have no more family staying with me AT ALL! Kind of lonely, when it's always you and your parents. I am not all alone quite yet, but when that happens, PLEASE, SOMEBODY COME AND SPEND CHRISTMAS WITH ME! i guess I gotta make the best of it...right!?
Nicole, this might apply to you! After returning from the hospital dad picked up some takeout...not my absoloute fav. (makes me feel gross, if you know what i mean?!) and of course they give you a fortune. after the meal, I cracked open the "fookie" and read this "Traveling to the South will bring you unexpected happiness" Look forward to future posts to see what that means! Fortunes are always fun to read. Used to REALLY, and i mean REALLY believe them as a kid! It's late, i'm cold, homework sitting in front of me...I've got to finish!

Tell Morgan I hope she starts getting better...how scary. What a nice friend to visit her in the hospital...I bet she really appreciated that. :) I hope it will be a really long time before you have to spend a Christmas alone. I'm sure that would be weird. What an awesome fortune in your "fookie"!! I hope your trip down here does bring unexpected happiness. I'll be thinking of some things we can do together...so many to choose from...where to begin?!?!?
SO great to read your thoughts Noelle. Poor Morgan, let me tell you surgery is NO fun! she is a trooper and I hope she is feeling better. Yes, I think the older you get the more you realize that christmas is Not about the "stuff" but about family coming together to remember the birth of Christ. Still a fun time of year with more giving than usual. I love all the small things about the season....the christmas music, decorating, all the good food, the snow, the lights you know all the usual stuff......oh by the way i love all the Christmas music on your play list. I love you tons!
noelle there is an art room and if you are as bad as i was then they deliver the art project of the day to you! they are very interesting things=D but there is more things then just presents for christmas, i got my wish for christmas.( i wished for baby mia and i would be out of the hospital for christmas!!!) love ya,
