{ Request granted... }

Awhile back, when i was little my dad... for his work would travel to Paris for their "oh-so-exciting" air shows. I'm pretty sure I remember him doing this since I could eat detergent ( Yeah...don't ask.) But one specific time stands out in my memory. He asked me if I wanted anything from this awesome of a place-city.

In my head I invisioned him bringing me back a barbie doll with something looking like a brownies girl-scout person. I thought (at that age) that, THAT was what foreign french people looked like.
I was so excited.

I quickly answered "A DOLL!!" not really specifying the details. I just assumed...ya know...
He came back with a GORGEOUS glass vintage 1920's doll...that i'm sure was WAYyyy too expensive.

Now...i'm not bragging here...just stating the facts...giving the background story

This little "trip" of his has continued since, well...when i could eat detergent. (yeah..i know..SAD)
So last spring when he was "summoned" he asked me if I wanted anything...
I answered "PICTURES. LOTS OF PICTURES!!!" then hugged him goodbye and went and ate Taco Bell with Mom for our Girls night OUT!!

He came back...
with LOTS of Pictures.

Shout out to POPS...Thanks again. I guess this means we have something in common.

COOL!!

Sweet! Do you still have the doll? Post a picture of the doll for us to see :)

I like that picture of Paris -that building looks really familiar to me. I was in Paris for one day. There is so much to see that I didn't get to see it all in just one day. One of these days I would like to learn French and go back to Paris/France.

YOU need to go to Paris with your dad! You are taking French, right? Or you are going to take French?? Nat and Lore got to go. Time for you and Brooke to go, don't you think? Maybe as a sweet 16 birthday gift? Or high school grad gift?

I'm taking a Art History class and wow! There are so many beautiful pieces of Art work in Paris! It would be neat to see them up close and personal.
I hear you could spend an entire day in the Louvre and still not see all the art work! Crazy!

Funny story - Our tour bus stopped behind this cathedral in Paris and they announced that we were at the "Notre Dame cathedral." I thought they were joking and that Notre Dame was just some fake cathedral that Disney made up for their movie, "The Hunchback of Notre Dame."

Anyways...to my surprise, Notre Dame is a REAL cathedral in Paris. I'm sure this is common knowledge to the rest of the world. * sigh * There are so many things I don't know and so many things I've learned from traveling.

My request.... Sleep! I can not get to sleep right now.. I wouldn't have to worry about this if school never existed. Why can't school be two days a week why does it take 180 days for everyone to learn something?? Anyway it was pure fun chillin with you this weekend :) right now I shall try to sleep.
